Ministry Position: Director of Musical Worship

Reports to:  Lead Pastor; indirectly to the elders

Overview

LIFE Church is located in Stratford, Ontario. We are affiliated with the Associated Gospel Churches of Canada (AGC). We are a congregation of about 60 people.

Our desire is to help people to discover Jesus and to be transformed by His love. We want to know Jesus, grow as disciples of Jesus, serve Jesus, and share Jesus with others.

Qualifications

  • Have a clear profession of faith in Jesus Christ

  • A personal and consistent walk with the Lord (through regular personal devotion, corporate worship, and submission to authority)

  • In agreement with LIFE Church doctrinal beliefs

  • To at least be in the process of earning post-secondary education

  • Experience working/volunteering as a musical worship leader

  • Familiarity with Planning Center Services (for scheduling musicians and tech) preferred

  • Regular worship attendance at LIFE Church (and if married, one’s spouse also)

  • AGC credentialing required prior to being hired

  • Organized, motivated, team player, caring, and professional

Responsibilities

Musical Worship (90%): To be effective and fruitful in this role, you will recruit and invest into volunteers who will implement the goals and objectives of the musical worship ministry. You will provide consistent leadership before the congregation and in serving volunteers.

  • Lead approximately 75 percent of Sundays plus Christmas Eve and Good Friday

  • Coordinate with the Lead Pastor and volunteers for the planning of Sunday services

  • Equip and involve congregational members in Sunday worship

  • Oversee ministry budget

  • Schedule musicians and tech team

  • Oversee all things related to musical worship ministry that may arise

Other (10%): As a leader on a team, you will be required to contribute to different areas within the church. By working as a team, you will grow alongside others by contributing in a positive and encouraging manner.
