Our world is getting very dark. Sin is celebrated, Christians are derided, the church is under attack spiritually. Pastors, ministry leaders, and churches are at the centre of the enemy's bullseye. A quick look through social media and news feeds reveals an almost weekly fall of a church leader, a pastor, or a church scandal. What is the answer? This Ministry Leader Gathering will help participants understand the nature of spiritual warfare as a battle every pastor, ministry leader, and church faces, by examining key areas of spiritual warfare in our current ministry context and offering practical protections to put in place in each area. Pastors and ministry leaders will gain a greater understanding of key areas of the spiritual battle that most impact them and a pathway toward developing a protection plan.

Compelled Worship Conference

Singing together in worship is such a key part of what we do when we gather together as a church, and it can be a challenge to serve people well with so many moving pieces and roles to fill. We all want worship that is theologically robust, musically beautiful, culturally relevant, and supported by distraction-free technology. Most churches do a great job using the people and gifts God has given to make this happen every Sunday, but wouldn’t it be great to get a little bit of help and encouragement and see the fruit of a church engaged in deep, transformational worship?

 

Compelled is a one day worship conference happening on Saturday, October 4 at Compass Point Bible Church in Burlington. It’s designed to equip and inspire anyone involved in worship and tech – worship leaders, instrumentalists, sound techs, pastors, planners, and songwriters. Compelled is uniquely Canadian – we’ll be led by fellow Canadians and spending lots of time discussing things and learning from each other. We’ll have a few main sessions, a selection of breakouts, and we’ll focus on what will be theologically foundational and practically helpful in our contexts today.
